Flood and water damage

Water that is left in walls, floors and voids turns into mould and a bigger claim. We map the moisture, find what is hidden and dry the building on a plan built from readings, so a water claim stays a water claim.

What you get

Secondary damage stopped early

A drying strategy that stops a water claim becoming a mould claim, started as soon as the readings allow.

Hidden moisture found

Concealed moisture traced through controlled opening-up and inspection of wall and ceiling voids, so nothing is sealed in wet.

Proof the building is dry

Readings recorded from the first visit to the last, so the drying is documented rather than assumed.

How we handle it

  1. Map the moisture

Moisture mapping, moisture meter readings and relative humidity assessment across the affected areas.

  2. Find what is hidden

Investigation of concealed moisture, controlled opening-up and inspection of voids, with water sampling where the source needs confirming.

  3. Remove and dry

Removal of affected porous materials, HEPA-controlled cleaning and a drying strategy set from the readings.

  4. Verify

A post-remediation assessment, including mould sampling where growth was found or suspected.

What lands in your file

A record of where the water went and how it was dealt with.

  • Photographic condition survey
  • Moisture map and readings
  • Laboratory results where sampled
  • A written remediation scope
  • Waste documentation
  • Verification and handover records

Questions

Why open up walls and floors?

Water travels into voids where nobody can see it. Controlled opening-up, guided by readings, finds it before it causes mould or decay, and keeps the opening-up to what the evidence supports.

Do you deal with sewage?

Yes. Contaminated water is handled as a biohazard, with the right protective equipment, cleaning and disinfection.

Can the building stay in use?

Often, yes. Containment and controlled access keep the works separate from areas still in use.

Where do you work?

Cambridge, London and East Anglia.
